Overview

Dental Diffusion ("Dental Diffusion," "we," "us," or "our") provides software that helps dental practices generate AI before-and-after smile videos. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using our service, you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect

Account information. When you sign up we collect your name, email address, and authentication details, plus practice or billing details you choose to provide.

Uploaded images. To generate videos you upload photos, including images of patients. You are responsible for having the necessary consent to upload and use these images (see "Image data & retention" below).

Usage and analytics data. We collect information about how you interact with the service — pages visited, features used, device and browser information, and similar diagnostics — to operate and improve the product.

Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers. Stripe provides us with limited billing details (such as the last four digits, card brand, and subscription status) needed to manage your account.

How we use it

We use the information we collect to provide and operate the service, generate the videos you request, process payments and manage credits, provide support, communicate with you about your account, monitor and improve performance and security, and comply with legal obligations.

Cookies & tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies for essential functionality and for analytics and advertising measurement. These include the Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API (to measure and improve advertising) and Microsoft Clarity (to understand how the site is used). Where required, we ask for your consent through a cookie banner before loading non-essential trackers, and you can change your choices at any time.

Image data & retention

Uploaded images are stored privately and used only to generate the videos you request. Source images are automatically deleted after a short retention window once rendering completes. Generated videos remain available in your account until you delete them. We do not use your uploads or outputs to train AI models.

You must have written consent from any patient before uploading their image, and you must not upload protected health information you are not authorized to share. Because you upload only consented marketing images, we do not act as a HIPAA Business Associate.

Data sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers ("processors") that help us run the service, under appropriate contractual protections. These include Stripe (payments), fal.ai (AI video generation), Supabase (database and storage), Resend (transactional email), and Meta (advertising measurement). We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and users.

Security

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your data, including encryption in transit, private storage for uploads, and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and to limit retention to what we need.

Data location

Our infrastructure and the providers above store and process data in the United States. By using the service, you understand that your information may be processed there.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can manage much of your data directly in your account, or contact us to make a request. We will respond consistent with applicable law.

Children

Our service is intended for dental professionals and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can remove it.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
